“While at a work conference, I decided to schedule a 60 minute massage for the end of my stay; definitely call prior to your arrival, as I was only able to get an appointment on the day of my check-out! That morning, I got a call and text message that my masseuse would be a bit late - I definitely appreciated the warning. Arriving at the lobby, which is located in the 3rd tower, there was no front desk person. It seems you sit there until they bring you back to the relaxation room. Both the relaxation room and the service room are converted hotel rooms - so they are spacious. However, the relaxation room is immediately by the hallway and you can very clearly hear loud guests walking by and housekeeping rolling carts back and forth; there was no music or sound machine to help soften the noise either. For the service room, they have light blocking shades, so it is appropriately dim - but it is also on the side where the hotel pool is, so you can hear the thumping of the music coming in a bit. I was given water and brought back by another staff member, which I appreciated. Ultimately, my masseuse was late by 13 mins and, by the time the room was set up, we started 30 minutes late. Thankfully, I had nothing going on later that day. Finally, when my service started my masseuse, Lizzie, was fantastic; she asked what she should concentrated on and actually listened to me; nor did she push enhancements on me that I didn't want. While the location of the spa is not ideal - my actual massage with Lizzie was definitely worth the wait. It was truly one of the best massages I've ever had. The table was comfortable and heated; calming music was played; she answered questions about what she was noticing in my muscles; and she used a variety of props to elevate the experience, like an eye mask, a heating pad, a neck pillow and more. If I could, I would give the spa itself three stars - but Lizzie would get an overwhelming 5 stars!“

“Went in today to have a fill done for my acrylics. The place is gorgeous with the remodeling that is being performed.This isn’t my first time here, probably my 7th time at this location. When I walked in, they told me it would be a few minutes because they needed to find someone that was qualified to do my acrylics and asked me to sit. I asked about how long it would be because I had waited an hour before ( in the past). So right after I sat, the same people that told me they needed to find someone qualified, were the same ones that ended up doing my nails, which was weird? Anyways, a girl named Natalie did my nails and she did a fantastic job! I showed her a picture and she put her own twist on the design. I highly recommend her! Previously I had Peter. And he was also great at what he does. You can’t go wrong with Natalie or Peter!The only reason for the 4 stars is the awkward check in process that I dealt with today. I kind of felt like they were trying to put me with someone else, maybe because of what I was wearing? My work clothes. Not 100% sure. But I’m a very easy going person and a good tipper. Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the future.Services: Gel manicure“
“Staying at the Grand never disappoints. A five star experience from check in to check out. The staff is always engaging , helpful and caring. On this visit we stayed in the Sugar Loaf building which was just recently refurbished. Amazing job! Beautifully appointed with all the amenities expected in a five star property. Excellent proximity to the main pool and well as the Gasparilla Grill. Major renovation now being performed in the main building. Construction walls as well as building scaffolding are in place. No noise disruption or any inconveinance whatsoever to the guest experience. The Grand is still the grandest of all Disney resorts. Does not disappoint“

“We have stayed at this location many times over the last 10 years. It never fails to be amazing. Everyone, from the restaurant and bar staff, to the front desk spa and valet , are on point. Professional, accommodating and eager to please. Just an example, I called ahead for a spa service on our last visit and couldn’t get a hold of the spa. Somehow, I got connected to the concierge. She not only listened to my request, gave me the normal spa hours to call and then followed up with a return call a half hour later to tell me that the spa had had to close early that day, for some particular reason and told me there was availability for the service and day I was inquiring about and gave me a time to call back the next day to book it. We LOVE this location and can’t wait for a return trip.“

And here’s a little secret, I work at the competition lol but I choose to come here for the amenities, the price, and the size and availability of everything in the gym is just second to none.“

We usually go twice a year for a couples massage and you definitely get your moneys worth! Quiet, relaxing atmosphere with soft music…hot rocks and extremely knowledgeable women who can make you feel like a million bucks! This isn’t the ‘girls night out.. let’s have champagne and strawberries’ feel good massage. This is the real deal! These ladies REALLY know what they’re doing. They’re better than a chiropractor, doctor and physical therapist rolled into one!!! We LOVE this place!!!“

Chest press machine, lat pulldown machine. One multi plate machine with small weights, dumbbells go to 50 lbs. One set of kettle bells and a few medicine balls. Shares lockers and showers with the attached spa. Wifi and TV's and has unobtrusive music. Lots of towels and wipes along with water fountain. Well appointed for being a "hotel gym".“

“Mokara Spa experience was a slam-dunk! The valet is wonderful and professional. The spa staff was kind and courteous and made me feel like royalty. After my massage I got to enjoy some time in the hot tub and then rinsed-off in a pretty high-tech shower ? (you'll see what I mean! So many options ?). A wonderful experience, but a bit of a splurge. For a 50 min. massage, my total was nearly $200.“
