My father who is 92 years old had Unique come out to look at his air conditioning and they wanted to charge him $600 a pound for freon. They told him he needed a new air conditioner and they gave him an estimate of $10,000 to $15,000 for a new air conditioner. I had my boyfriend and his friend look at it and it only needed a little freon. These people are a rip off. They should be a shamed of themse

Buyers beware. After agreeing to have my ac serviced for $29 through a representative at Lowes it was determined that my ac compressor needed replaced. They quoted me $4,100 for the repair. I requested a quote to replace the unit. The sales rep quoted me over 18k or I could pay $325 a month for 10 years. Wow, $32,500 for an ac. When I told them I was not going to spend that kind of money they started reducing the price. They came down to around 11k and I still insisted on getting a second opinion. My neighbor has several rentals and recommended the company that he has been using and they installed a Rheem 4 ton 16 seer the next day for $8,873 which included a new line set and new wires run to my thermostat. I have been dealing with Lowes and Home Depot for many years. Before I retired I owned 15 rental properties in Ohio and am surprised they allow this company in their stores.

A year ago I spent a lot of money on a new A/C unit. Salesman and installation guys were fantastic, which I thought would be a good sign of service from the company. Boy was I wrong. Six months ago, I scheduled my first service for time frame of 10-2. When I called them at 2:30, they stated that they would be there more towards 4pm! Had to reschedule due to having to pick up child from school. When they did reschedule, service tech tried to sell me over $1500 of maintenance for a unit that was 6 months old!
Fast forward to today. Had a tech scheduled to come between 12-4. They just called and said they would be at my house at 5pm! Again, had to reschedule because of having to pick up my child at school. Terrible service. You would think they would try to take care of their customers that spent a lot of money with the company.

Lowes recommended them for gas water tank installation. OMG. Talk about gouging! My free estimate for a simple swap out tank installation was $1,950!!! I was luckily referred by a friend to a certified natural gas plumber for $450. Additionally, my chosen plumber sent me all the required info needed for the TECO $350 gas-to-gas tank rebate including his certification information. DON’T be fooled by the Lowe’s recommendation. A black eye for Lowe’s and ZERO biz for Unique!

I contacted Unique Services through Lowe’s for a water heater quote. They scheduled a four hour window to come to my home, saying they would call in advance of arrival. Nobody ever called or came to the home. Lowe’s should do a better job of screening their installers. I would not recommend Unique Services.

Calling them is horrific - you now get sent to a call center instead of directly to Unique. They cannot put me in contact with anyone that works directly with Unique. Awful customer service.

I've never dealt with a more unreliable company. The service was supposed to be from 12 - 4 PM. No show. No call, until they were called. Then they asked to reschedule. Not after waiting for 4 hours for nothing, without even the courtesy of a phone call. If I could give a negative star, I would.

Sold us a a terrible unit that has required 3 different expensive part replacements in less than 6 years. When I talked to someone at the company about this bad HVAC unit, they told me to take it up with the manufacturer.
