J&D Heat & AC installed our air conditioning system about 4 years ago. They are a reputable company and their business practices are consistent with our expectations. We had our 6 month preventative maintenance today. Shawn K., the tech, has been to our home previously and is familiar with our system. He arrived on time and did a great job - there was no drama. Maintenance tech Marco came when AC stopped working. It was a clogged drain line which is not uncommon here in FL. He was very thorough and professional, but also personable. He showed me everything that was wrong and did one thing that no one else ever had to help with prevention. The drain line from the AC unit mounted on the garage ceiling was level for it's whole length. He zip tied it up at the AC unit end which made it slant down on it's path to the wall and exterior drain. He said this would lessen the standing drain water and help prevent future clogs.
