I feel for all the reviewers from a while ago, but based on my experiences in the last few months, going from CCN to VA Health. It has been infinitely better, and smoother. I really think this clinic (from the reviews) has turned around and deserves another shot.
I an sorry those of you who have issues with this particular clinic, this has not been my experience. My MD, Dr McNight, is very compassionate, kind, takes excellent care of me, his RN. MISS JULIE, is what I would call an angel! That whole team is awesome! You must secure message them on VA website, the response is surprisingly quick. If you can't message them, then call the VA 1-800 number, they will contact your team and the team will call you back, I know from experience, at least Dr McKight's team will call you back..Things can go slow at times, but OK county probably has at least 100,000 veterans, maybe more!!
I have been taking my Dad to appointments at the Eglin VA Clinic for about 2 years. They randomly select a doctor for you and we drew the long straw. Dr. Schoeder is great. Beyond knowing medicine, he knows people and he actively listens to my Dad to make certain that he has what he needs to live his best life. Also, the check-in/check-out process is quick so we are never held up.
