I'm just starting my 3rd 12-week session with Heather. Choosing to work out with her has been the best decision I have made in 2023! I have two significant spinal injuries (one from 1983) that have greatly impacted my strength and stability. Heather meets me where I am (energy/ability) and customizes my workouts to not only challenge my strong areas but also help restart the weakest parts of my body that I have neglected over time. She is patient, challenging, motivating, and engaged. I was also specifically looking for someone who offered training and stretching, which she does. I have been working out for years but never really focused on my core so I went to Heather for assistance. Not only did she put me through numerous core exercises but the rest of the body as well. I learned that it is good to go to Heather with her background because you may not know as much as you thought. I now have a whole new set of exercises to help shock my body to reach my goals. Heather is also very experienced with nutritional guidance.I also really appreciate the focus she places on warming up and stretching you after each session.
Heather understands the mechanics of the body, but there is more than that to her workouts. She offers solutions tailored to your capabilities. Then she will push you hard enough to progress and improve, but not so hard that you injure yourself. She also understands nutritional needs and offers good advice in that area. At the end of the session she takes time to stretch you out.She's truly engaged and listens to your concerns, very positive with a "can do" approach, helping you achieve more than you thought possible. We actually look forward to our workouts!
