“I would have given this hospital 5 stars if not for 1 person. I went in for surgery and had been put in recovery awaiting a room. Once the anesthesia wore off my nurses took very good care of me however I was in prep/recovery area for over 4 hours!!!!! The nurses were constantly checking for a room and were overwhelmed, they were so busy and were working very hard with many patients at a time. My nurse Paul was excellent!!! However the supervisor a woman named Sarah was walking around and asked me how I was. I told her I was uncomfortable as I was waiting hours for a room ( others had already gone up to one) I had a full hysterectomy because of what was found and I was in discomfort and not wanting to be out in the open like that. She sarcastically said to me " well if you were in a room what else would you be doing?" And walked away !!!!! I am APPALLED AND SHOCKED at such a response as I was not rude and I am not the complaining type but this was an unnecessary remark and if she wasn't going to help then why ask!!!? Watching her while there for so long was painful as she was rude to her staff, and her narcissistic behavior left me feeling so badly for all the nurses there that worked so hard!! Finally after the nurses took it upon themselves to bug the other floors for a room for me, they were notified one was ready. My nurse Paul quickly got me up to that room. I am aware how hard these nurses work and to be treated by their superiors like this is very upsetting and a reflection of the management. Take into consideration I was there for over 4 hours with nothing to do but observe. Once on the eighth floor my experience was excellent. The nurses understood my pain, took excellent care of me and had an incredible bedside manner to all even under long hours and a lot of work. I had the best bunch of nurses I ever encountered- Felicia, Nancy, Winnie and Yvette!!!! They were incredible!!! Hats off to all the nurses there who put their heart and soul into caring for people even in the busiest times and working for the most unappreciative supervisors. There was no excuse for Sarah's behavior NONE! The hospital was very clean.“
