My daughter has been going to this studio for a little under a year and her confidence has skyrocketed. She’s shy by nature, but this studio really helped her come out of her shell and she is thriving!!! Mr. Josh is incredible at what he does and ensures that every student feels involved. The studio is extremely clean and well maintained as well, which was one of my main concerns when I was looking for karate classes for my daughter.
We were so lucky to have the experience of attending a birthday party at AKS and then, as a result, getting to attend a few classes! Honestly, I was blown away by how much my son loved it as well as the discipline and respect and form taught – in addition to the obvious physicality! We had never been a martial arts family, which I feel now is a shame. I witnessed kids with confidence and pride as well as them gaining real skills in the martial arts form. The teacher, Mr. Josh, is amazing with all these kids, and the owner, Mr. Caputo, is just about the most thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kindest man. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! We checked out another place first. There is no comparison.
The facility alone is top notch, not to mention that the instructor is amazing. The manager was pretty awesome as well.
I would recommend this place to any parent with a kid just starting out.
