I will start this by saying that I am in a wheelchair. I have been calling all around the Newark and Wilmington areas for days in search of someone who would be willing to do box braids for me but also has a shop that I would be able to get into in my electric wheelchair. I'm on my own and happily independent, but because of this sometimes these challenges arise. So! On a Sunday afternoon, on a holiday weekend no less! I am making calls to find someone! Great availability but they don’t really have a good measure of children’s hair. I took my 10 year old daughter to them to get medium box braids and it came out beautiful but it was entirely too much hair for a child. It’s so heavy on her head she can barely style it. We’ll make due until time for a redo but I’d say mention how much hair you want.

The work was fine, but the cleanliness of the shop is just something that I can’t look past. The towels are dirty, the floors are filthy, and as much as I want to give them 5 stars because they are good at what they do, I have to be honest because the cleanliness is just unacceptable. There’s a big difference between messy and dirty, and this place is BOTH. Please do better because you guys are good at what you do. Also, they only take cash, I had no clue…
