I arrived a bit early and was led to the meditation room (waiting room) where I had spearmint tea, filled out my intake paperwork and enjoyed the relaxing vibe. I am a licensed massage therapist that has practiced medical and spa massage for 18 years. Because of that I tend to be critical of my massages / therapists. Lauren gave an amazing massage, she is new to this particular spa but knew the protocol very well and had a very welcoming presence. We discussed my main issues (including medical issues) and she was able to accommodate and adapt her protocol to those. I had the Nirvana massage with ginger root oil. My wife and I have been coming to the Avenue Apothecary & Spa for more than 20 years, and it has never disappointed. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and professional, and every massage or treatment we’ve had over the years has been outstanding. We’ve never had anything less than a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing, top-notch spa in Rehoboth Beach, we highly recommend giving them a try.
Definitely not deep tissue, and it’s pricey, but it’s a very relaxing experience that feels great. Everyone in there is very kind and the place is clean. There’s a store with lots of goodies too
