1. The owner charges customers extra for using debit or credit cards. This is a lucrative business, in a good location, within a well-to-do area of DC. In this day and age, it's ridiculous to penalize customers for not using cash, especially during a pandemic. 2. The owner needs to think before speaking. She actually asked me if I was pregnant when I went to pay for my alteration (hemming pant/jeans leg, so there was no logical reason for this question). Excuse me? Only a very ill mannered or ignorant person would ask a customer this question when it wasn't relevant for the alteration requested. I laughed it off and joked about it a little because she'd already taken my garment and I wanted to leave as expediently as possible. And there's a huge difference between friendly banter and lack of social/conversational skills. I suggest that she learn to educate herself on the latter. There was really no excuse for this behavior.
