Great service, thorough eye exam-- I left with the feeling and reassurance that my overall eye health was of importance. I came back a few times after to get glasses (not purchased at this office) adjusted and better fitted. I will be following up with this office for future visits!

Did a lot of research on optometrists in the area and then asked coworkers for any recommendations. Dr. Lobaugh and Eye Rx in Chevy Chase landed high on both of my lists. This was my first visit to an optometrist and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff was very patient and answered all of my questions. The technician who performed the initial exam was calm and receptive to my questions (I had a lot -- it was my first time!) and Dr. Lobaugh took his time to explain the parts of the exam, their purpose, as well as simple practices to maintain healthy eyesight between visits. This review is very overdue but I would like to share my experience with dr lobaugh. I have a complicated eye situation due to family history of retinal issues and extreme far sightedness. He is always thorough and explains everything. Also, his office is very well run and it is easy to make appointments. Most importantly, he and his well run office were a god send earlier this year when I suddenly developed a cornea ulcer. He got me in within two hours of calling his office, diagnosed my issue, made a treatment plan, and found a way to cut the cost of my prescription to a 1/5 of what it would have been without his assistance.
