If I could give Gabi and the DC Petropolis team a million stars I would! DC Petropolis is seriously amazing and special. My pup Ziggy first came in for 4 socialization sessions to get used to the environment of the grooming salon. This is a very unique policy of Gabi’s but it has been wonderful for Ziggy who now feels comfortable and even excited going to the groomer’s. Gabi made me and Ziggy feel so comfortable and welcome from our very first meeting. Oh my gosh, do I love Gabi, her practice, and her philosophy on the ultimate dog grooming relationship. She puts in time & effort in order to meet and form a solid dynamic with each prospective dog to ensure the temperament of each doggy client is sociable, calm, and happy. Having each prospective doggy client spend 2-3 hours with her and other dogs in the grooming studio a few times before accepting a grooming appointment is brilliant. This ensures your pup will be fully comfortable and even excited for their grooming appointments. I highly recommend Gaby and her team for their grooming services, in particular for their puppy grooming methodology. Gaby asks clients to bring their puppies to the salon at least 4 times before they get groomed for the first time. This helps the puppy get familiar with the process and feel less scared of the tools, loud noises, etc. This process was extremely effective with my 12-week old puppy. The first day, he was anxious and overwhelmed with everything, but by the fourth day, he was very excited when I dropped him off.
