I’ve been several times and it’s getting worse. My massage was good and I appreciated the champagne after my treatment but the lounge was cold and uncomfortable. I was able to book a massage the night (online) before and I can see why there were so many openings: nobody picks up the phone/nor do they check their messages. There wasn’t even anyone at the reception when I arrived, I had go looking for help. There were no slippers available and I had to walk around in my snow boots. It’s a wasted opportunity because the facilities are very beautiful and it’s such a historic, gorgeous hotel. The massage I had was wonderful. My wife and I both greatly enjoyed our massages and the relaxation room. For just a massage or other treatment I'd visit again.As an overall spa with the pool, hot tub, and sauna the experience was disappointing. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are shared with all hotel guests including children. There was no staff member present in the room with the pool and hot tub so kids were yelling, splashing, and overall ruining any chance at a relaxing experience. That's not the kids' fault, it's the fault of a spa sharing amenities with the hotel. If you want an overall relaxing spa experience I would go elsewhere.
This was an interestingly poor experience.I got there at 10:10am, 10 minutes after my scheduled massage (Annette, the front desk attendant, was aware I would be slightly late) however miscommunication and lack of clear instructions and direction to the actual spa lounge from Annette didn't have me in the treatment room for my 50 minute signature massage (which to my surprise, abruptly ended after 30 minutes) until 25 after the hour. Lisa, my masseuse, came to the locker room to get me. While Lisa was pleasant, the massage was quite weak and not worth the $190, even for the 30 minutes.Afterwards, Annette came to grab me from the lounge and told me my card was declined....read full review
