But the best part of course is Nicole - who is attentive and flexible, and will ask you what you want and need each and every single session. “I had the fortunate opportunity to run across Mary’s website, which led me to, two phenomenal events that she hosted and of course the opportunity to meet and work with her!
The first was a seminar, that she was co-hosting about perimenopause. It was informative, I didn’t have much prior knowledge aside from what I had heard regarding symptoms. It was refreshing to know that what I had been and am experiencing is normal, that I am not going crazy, I’m not the only one and there are options…multiple, when it comes to how we can approach our individual journeys with perimenopause. It was nice to be in a room with a group of ladies, willing to share their experiences and ask some really amazing questions. I learned so much and left feeling a sense of peace and relief!!
The second was a course that she herself teaches called, Our Mother’s Leadership. This setting was more intimate, intentionally. A different group of ladies, amazing all the same. During the program, I was introduced to a few mindfulness concepts, behaviors and a couple of energy exercises and practices. Since the class I have reflected on perception and response. Meaning, take a moment to access before reacting or responding emotionally to a situation/circumstance. The moment makes the difference. Understanding that not everything requires or deserves a reaction/response and although I do understand this, I also have to be intentional in my consistency to really put it in practice every time. I enjoyed learning the Qigong techniques, to channel my energy and I also experienced acupuncture for the first time, which left me in a more calm state of being when I departed that day. I thoroughly enjoyed both sessions with Mary, It was my absolute pleasure and I look forward to working with her again.
