I had an appointment scheduled for today as a BRAND NEW PATIENT but I walked out before even checking in because who I’m assuming is the office manager decided to laugh at me :)I scheduled an appointment for today as told by the receptionist when I spoke with her in the end of last week. I arrived today at 2:30 for my appointment as scheduled and was told that my appointment was for yesterday and that they had tried to call me to reschedule (whatever mistakes happen we’re all human).As I tried to explain that absolutely no phone call was received on my end - I was getting upset due to my own anxieties and personal stressors which is when I noticed the older woman look at me, turn around to her computer and start laughing.Instead of saying things I wouldn’t mean I instead chose for the benefit of all parties that it would be better if I walked out.The young woman with glasses did try to accommodate me in the moment but I’d rather not be seen where staff is going to laugh at a new patient right in front of them - which is sad because this doctor was HIGHLY recommended by friends and family.

I have never been in a Doctor's office where when you check in they don't check your vitals! Nothing I mean nothing... So when my mother in law says she has a little chest pain she's calling 911 really no EKG?? She could have heart burn a number of different things. So we go to the hospital and after a number of tests nothing is wrong thank goodness.

She will dive into the problem until she fixes it. My partner has gone to countless doctors without ever receiving any answers. Because of her, we were able to find out my partner might have cancer. Reccomend 100%

Dr. Nwangwu has good intentions with her patients, but she doesn’t have the resources to carry out effective care. Her office staff failed to submit documents to my insurance, causing my insurance to deny medically necessary care. They were short with me on the phone and even answered the phone and started reading off someone else’s test results before I stopped them once. She is always late to appointments (at least 40 minutes each time). Her office charged me a copay to get my test results read to me (she charged it as a virtual visit, despite the fact that I was not given an appointment or a virtual visit link). Again, the doctor is a kind person. If you need someone who will listen to you, she’s the one. But her office staff and office procedures make it nearly impossible to get quality care.Another note — the doctor refused to refer to my pain as pain; she would only call it “discomfort” even though I was unable to walk as a result of the pain.

If you want a PCP who cares deeply about your health, please go to Dr. Chioma. Most doctors do not care but she does. This doctor will do whatever it takes to make you understand & take your health matters seriously.She takes her time and will leave no stone unturned.She is very caring & will go the extra mile to help you get the best treatment and prescription especially for those struggling financially. She is so humble & very dedicated. Please do not listen to those negative reviews!

My first visit was the most quickest visit as a new patient only spent 15 mins with me didn’t care about what I was there for failed to send my referral to a neurologist after they told me they did called back and got disrespected they don’t care for they patients

Dr was very thorough I admit to that so I didn't mind the attitude stuff long as she was doing right by making sure I'm healthy but when I had to cancell an appointment ahead of time with her secretary she hung up in my face rudely. Very smart lady but her and her staff need to more professional. They also need to update there medical equipment.

Staff is so unprofessional and rude. I was a new patient recommended by medical professional. The front end person brought me in and when I sat down started accusing me of calling her rude on the phone which I didn’t. When I told her so she then repeat that she knew it was me and even wrote it down to confront me about it. The doctor is knowledgeable but refuses to see the patient point of view. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!! Hope this helps people to do your research and don’t go to this Doctor!
