Paul's Maytag Home Appliance Appliance Repair

“The plug on my dyson vacuum cleaner was crooked and I thought I needed it replaced. Took it to Paul's Maytag and he straightened the prongs with plyers and did not charge me. He could have told me I needed to replace the entire cord and charged me $100 (as another company told me I would have to do) but he straightened it free of charge. I will definitely go back there when I am in need of another repair. Thank you so much!“

Boston Joe's Appliance Repair Appliance Repair

“My 4.5 year old LG fridge began to run all the time and not maintain low temperatures so LG covered it (surprisingly) under a 5 year warranty on the compressor and connected me with Boston Joe's to fix it. Boston Joe's knew this problem well and had spare parts on hand to fix it but couldn't help until 2 days later when LG passed off a warranty repair authorization to Joe's via some electronic process - a website portal for a LG repair providers. I had to call LG 3 times before they were able to get this repair order to Joe's before Joe's could help me and this was the most frustrating thing and that is on LG (not Joe's). Joe's has one tech who does all the fridge/compressor work named Joe (but he is not the owner for Boston Joe's) that showed up on time with a second tech in training. Joe was fantastic! Very polite, explained the repair and showed me where a pinhole in the fridge cooling element allowed coolant to escape from the closed system causing it to run longer/harder eventually causing the compressor to get tired and (eventually) fail. He gave me a bunch of tips on things to do with the fridge, what to look out for to verify the repair was effective, etc. Overall a great experience once Joe was at my place and the repair went smoothly. Initially I was wary of all the low reviews (on YELP mostly) of Joe's but I can say that I had a very positive experience and was just fortunate for LG to cover this under warranty.“
