82 Catoona Ln, Stamford“Our journey with Femia Landscaping began when Anthony Femia came to do a soil test required by our engineering for a pool project we were contemplating. From that initial positive experience, I reached out to Tony Femia, the owner of Femia Landscaping, to come see our property and discuss the landscaping and stonework we were contemplating with this project.
Our backyard was/is challenging due to the grading/landscape, surrounding structures and plantings that would remain, and my other garden and koi pond areas.
Previously to meeting with Tony, I met several times with the preferred landscaper of our pool company, where I didn’t get the feeling that he understood the task or was very interested in my project.
Tony and I met (several times), talked about the project, and I sensed from the beginning that, not only was he very experienced and knowledgeable about what would be needed and how to properly and effectively execute, but that he is a professional and really cares about the projects and his work product.
We have been working now with Tony and crew for several weeks - the pool is in - and now focusing on the surrounding landscaping and stonework. He and his team are excellent. Throughout the process, he very much listens to what I want to do, but also guides and advises, and delivers on, aspects of the project that I may not have considered or that unexpectedly arise during the course of the work. Tony is also very responsive- always picks up calls or quickly calls back, which is tiresome I am sure but definitely very important from a customer service and trust perspective.
We are probably only halfway into what needs to be done, and the results so far are excellent, I couldn’t be more pleased. I definitely feel we are in great hands.
I have to admit we stumbled upon Tony and Femia Landscaping, and I am so glad we did!“

25 William St, Stamford“I recently hired All American to clean up a large fallen tree branch and was extremely pleased with the experience. Edwin is very knowledgeable about trees and also provided helpful insight and improvment for the long-term health of two trees on my property through selective thinning.
He showed up on time, communicated clearly, and completed the work exactly as promised. His crew was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Pricing was fair, and he was willing to adjust the scope to fit my specific needs.
What impressed me most was his attention to detail and experience—he even stacked and stored the wood exactly the way I had hoped without me having to explain it.
It's rare to find someone who combines expertise, reliability, fair pricing, and genuine customer service. I will gladly hire him again. The only improvement I can think of would be finding a way to make more copies of him.“

I sent out 4 emails and called 3 places and only Paul responded to me. He was friendly, professional and showed up at our house the following day to do an overview of our drive way and walk ways to give us an estimate. His cost was very reasonable. We only had a few snow falls last winter but his guys were great! They did a fantastic job and we'd recommend him to anyone.“

“Our property needed some tree removals due to some overgrowth so we can plant new. I contacted Highland and received a call from Mark. He is a true professional, asked questions about how we would like things done and was prompt with quoting (which was reasonable), and service. He and his crew completed the tasks, done well, and left no mess to speak of. We will use Highland again for future services. Thank you!Service: Tree removal“

Lenox Ave, Stamford“I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, and honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Elvis and his team at EV Grounds Management LLC. Our Co-op made the switch to them after some not-so-great experiences with our previous landscaping contractor, and the difference has been like night and day. Elvis has truly revitalized our shared spaces, and so many of us in the neighborhood have been commenting on what a fantastic job he's doing.
One of the most striking improvements has been our lawns. They used to be a bit of a sorry sight, with those all-too-familiar dead grass patches, many thanks to our furry friends. Elvis got right to work, diligently adding grass seed and really focusing on filling in those bare spots. The result? Our green spaces are looking healthier and more inviting than they have in years. It’s such a pleasure to see that lushness returning.
What really sets Elvis apart is his incredible attention to detail. I had the chance to do a walk-around of the property with him, and I was so impressed. He wasn't just talking about basic mowing; he was pointing out all the little extras he planned to include, things that would really make our grounds shine. He also highlighted spots that our former landscaper had clearly overlooked, showing a real understanding of what proper care entails. It was clear he wasn't just about getting the contract; he was about doing the job right.
And speaking of going the extra mile, Elvis has been incredibly generous. As a gesture of goodwill for us choosing EV Grounds Management for our Co-op, he took the initiative to remove some old, overgrown shrubs that were looking tired and replaced them with fresh turf. He even tackled some unsightly tree stumps that had been left to slowly decompose, grinding them down and seeding those areas too. These weren't small tasks, and those thoughtful actions have made such a positive impact on the overall look and feel of our community.
Dealing with Elvis is just a genuinely pleasant experience. He’s got this wonderful, eager-to-please attitude that’s so refreshing. You can tell he truly cares about his clients' satisfaction and takes immense pride in his work. It’s more than just a business for him; you get the sense that, having taken over the company from his father, he’s deeply invested in maintaining and building its reputation in Stamford. That dedication shines through in his willingness to go above and beyond what’s expected.
Now, I did see a comment from another reviewer about sometimes finding him a tad hard to reach to sort out a minor issue. I’ll admit, I had a similar moment once. However, after a quick chat with one of his guys who was on-site, Elvis got back to me promptly and everything was addressed. As someone who occasionally needs a friendly reminder myself, I completely understood, and the fact that he was responsive once his crew passed along the message was perfectly fine by me. He sorted it out, and that’s what counts.
If you're looking for a landscaper in the Stamford area who is thorough, dedicated, and genuinely cares about delivering top-quality results, I wholeheartedly recommend Elvis and EV Grounds Management. He’s made a world of difference for our Co-op, and we couldn’t be happier.“
