Shortt's Farm & Garden Center is a USDA Certified Organic farmstand offering seasonal vegetables, locally sourced meats, dairy products, and honey. The farmstand also features a variety of baked goods, garden needs, and a selection of fruits and vegetables. Recently, they added Big Dipper ice cream to their offerings, providing cones, cups, sundaes, and shakes in a range of flavors. The farm is a great destination for a local excursion and a convenient spot for an after-dinner treat. The farmstand is located off the beaten path on Riverside road, making it a relaxing and unique experience.
This local farm has the best produce, beautiful fresh flowers, and yummy ice cream! I look forward to visiting the farm each weekend to see what they have in their farm store and to visit the goats! The owners are so pleasant and welcoming - this is truly a gem in Sandy Hook!
Their ice cream is super creamy and tasty! Love that they change their favors a bit , which sets them apart for the other farms in the area that always have the same old same old. Really cute seating area and goats to pet. 😃
Love the farm fresh foods and the Big Dipper ice-cream is a great treat. Easy in to order, comfortable area to sit, good play area for the little ones. Overall it is a really nice place.
