Going from having my long luscious locks to my thinner peri menopausal hair has been an adjustment for me in terms of what length to keep it at as well as color and Melissa always knows what I want or need. I have naturally curly hair and wear it both curly and straight and so does Melissa so that’s also helpful in terms of her knowing how to cut it without sacrificing my curl. Melissa is happy to let me know when my hair needs some TLC and will do everything in her power to help it. Not hurt it.“

“Got my hair and make up done for a wedding. Loved it! We all looked so good. I have so much anxiety about people doing my hair and make up but this overall turned out great. I did change my lip color after I left since it was starting to fade and didn't look perfect to me (but to be fair I will reapply my lipstick 10x in the morning. If I'm not happy, and I wish I was lying.)

“gave it a 5 to maybe get higher up.
I went here and it was kinda horrendous. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great, but the problem there was that it was always changing because most would quit. Probably because there would be over 15 students on the floor with one teacher. I would have to wait up to 20 mins to get one question answered. This wasn't the staff's fault obviously and I just felt bad for them as they were overworked.
It was completely unorganized in the sense of schedules always changing, which made a good amount of confusion. The students were only allowed to use one bathroom (2 stalls). It got to the point where people were just going into the men's room instead. In the summer there was basically no AC and in order to be allowed to turn it past 69 degrees, they would have to leave the room and get permission. Clients would literally worry about us.
We were charged money for EVERYTHING. i.e. you forget your name tag, you have to get one at the front desk and pay like $3. If we didn't have gloves to do a color service, you would have to go to the front desk and pay 50 cents for one pair. They would send you home if you forgot something, even just your iPad.
If you don't have any sick hours left and were sent home, you would than be charged per hour like an astronomical amount, maybe $14? Mind you, a school day was either 8 or 10 hours.
It's sad that the owners and higherups never see the school but they're the ones making the rules but probably don't even know the issues that need to be solved.
They would have a lot of fundraisers or even just like a nice little party but once again, charged for everything. i.e. $3 for a tiny slice of pizza.
It's just a money making machine for the people above us, but hell for the people that actually spend time in the building.“
