From the time I went to the womens Yale health clinic, had a biopsy, ultrasound, visit with surgeon, cat scan, then sugery, it took 43 days. I think that was amazing. Im 11 days post opp and I feel great. The surgeon, office staff were great. Answered all my questions and concerns.The Smilow surgical team, and the nurses were carrying and professional. Had checked Hospital Liaison Committee prior to going , Dr. kolev and the faculty had a excellent reputation, for respecting my stand on blood transfusions. Having confidencein in your Surgical team, is half the battle. Very pleased with the whole experiance..
I'm writing this review solely on my Father's ICU/Palliative Care Nurse named Mars on floor 10. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could please share this with her. If this woman had been solely in charge of my Father's care from the get go, I truly believe he would still be with us. I have never, in my life, seen a more hands on, loving, generous, patient and gentle nurse IN MY LIFE. I'm sure you have all encountered nursing staff who have checked out. Some of them are overworked, some of them are traumatized, some of them are protecting their feelings and some of them just have no business being in the business at all. Smilow cancer hospital was my second home during my treatment. I spent weeks and weeks and weeks there. I couldn't have asked for a better and more caring staff during my time there. My room seems like a hotel room by how clean and nice and new everything was. And the treatment itself couldn't have gone better. They really really take care of you and I would recommend this hospital to anyone!!
