I have lived in Connecticut for three years, tried two hair salons, and been unhappy with my haircuts since moving here. It's been so difficult to find a salon that can properly cut asian hair. The two salons I did try that were more local to me lacked in experience in cutting asian hair whether it be knowing how to properly thin the hair to remove the weight on the bottom or understand how to add layers without making the cut look choppy.I ended up finding Shiny Salon on Google looking specifically for asian hair stylists. The 40 min drive was well worth it, price is very reasonable, and I will happily return in the future.Service: Haircut

I’ve been getting haircuts from this place for a little over a year now. I would have to say that the hairstylist is very versatile and can deliver the style that you want. I wish the price is lowered a little bit but overall will continue to go here for my haircutsServices: Haircut

Loved my haircut here! I have thick, pin-straight hair that non-Asian salons never know how to deal with. Jack gave me a great layered cut that works so well with my hair type. I'm so glad to have found a hairdresser I trust in New Haven and will be coming back!Service: Haircut
