I was doing some renovation work in my home and wanted my large (9 x 14) master bedroom carpet cleaned while we were living in disarray. Greg picked up my carpet and throughly discussed the process of cleaning and how to target a couple of spots I had on my rug. Greg was fair, honest, kind and offered to hold my carpet while we were in the midst of construction. He promptly delivered my carpet when I was ready for it, for a fair price. We are so happy to have our bedroom back together with a clean carpet under foot. I highly recommend Greg and his rug cleaning service. Everyone I dealt with was easy to talk with. I cannot recommend Carly enough! From the moment I sat in her chair, she truly took the time to get to know me—listening carefully to what I wanted (even when I wasn’t totally sure myself) and offering thoughtful, professional suggestions. I hadn’t been to a salon in years and walked in with a ton of gray, no highlights, and zero idea what to do—but also a ton of anxiety.
Carly made me feel completely at ease. Her personality is phenomenal—so warm, fun, reassuring, and confident! She gave me gorgeous blonde highlights with beautiful dimension, cleaned up my cut, and even waxed and tinted my eyebrows. I walked out of that salon not only looking fresh and beautiful, but feeling like I just won the lottery.

If I could give 5 million stars, I would. Melissa and her team are so incredible. I was a very nervous, anxious, body hating bride and I felt so so comfortable at each and every fitting. I was so afraid of my tummy sticking out in my dress but Melissa was able to stretch it and give me more room in the stomach and I felt incredible and was able to dance the night away free from any self consciousness. Melissa’s talent and attention to detail are unmatched. I traveled from Beacon Falls (Naugatuck valley) to have Melissa alter my dress and it was worth every mile and every minute. The bustle she did, a traditional American bustle, was so beautiful and perfect. It was very simple to follow and Melissa made a video for my bridesmaids to do it perfectly. I really can’t thank Melissa and team enough. I also just recently found out that they can turn your dress into a Bridal Bomber and that is just the absolute coolest thing I’ve ever heard and I will definitely be doing this to my dress!
Patrick just finished our house with the usual superb results. He and his crew -- Joe and Steve -- are meticulous and diligent in every way. No short cuts with these guys. Just honest hard work and quality all the way. They also show up as promised and communicate as needed as the job progresses. Only problem is that they are in demand, so plan well ahead
We hired Mr. Tiezzi for various jobs, eg new bedroom closet doors, new bathroom medicine cabinet, new lower level ceiling, counter tops - he did an impeccable job. Mr. Tiezzi is dependable, professional and affable. His sub contractors also did a great job, from the kitchen wall tilers to the plumber. Everyone showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. You're in good hands with this company, for sure.
I cannot recommend George enough for ear piercing of little ones! His patience and over all demeanor with my daughter was exceptional. He took special care to explain everything and make her feel at ease. It was an excellent experience!

He gives haircuts for $20. It's a little place in Higganum, he's a nice guy. If you ever need a haircut, and you live near Haddam.

I contacted them early in the year. All contact was by text. I was not in a hurry so the slow responses mentioned in other reviews was not an issue. My guess to why the responses are slow is the owner is managing a lot of the business instead of paying someone to do it. This keeps the costs to the customer low. I appreciate the cost being low, IMO.
It was a few to several weeks before I received my quote. I had some cracks sealed and the gap to the driveway sealed. Note: I was never bothered or saw anyone come to my home. I know they did though. After we agreed to the quote we were told the service would happen in early June. This was around April.
The week before they came Michelle contacted us and let us know it would be a 2 step process. Seal cracks first then come back in a week and seal the whole driveway. The only hiccup would be the weather can/did cause a delay but it can’t rain for this process.
One critique I have is that I was told we could use it after three days and they even put up a rope with a cone. I expected them to remove the cone on day 3, but they did not. I texted after work and they said I could move it and they would pick it up the next day. They did. I would have liked that to have been known beforehand.
I am very happy with the end result and will use them again.
If you read my whole review thank you. If you use this company. Be patient with them and know they provide quality work. Also, know they schedule in a way that allows them to service as many driveways in the same neighborhood as possible.
Bill does a wonderful job, and is an asset to the Higganum community. He is upbeat and professional. His interests in music and baseball fuel many in-chair conversations.
