She made dresses fit like a glove, added special touches, and made clients feel comfortable and confident. The elegant space and welcoming atmosphere add to the experience. Melissa's expertise in alterations, attention to detail, and down-to-earth nature make her the best choice for any bride. Clients leave feeling giddy and more confident than ever, thanks to Melissa and her team's hard work. From changing straps to creating a stunning French bustle, deMelis Atelier llc. goes above and beyond to make every client feel their very best on their special day.
I had the most amazing experience with deMelis Atelier for my wedding alterations. My wedding was in September 2025, and even six months later, family and friends are still telling me how beautiful my dress was.
Melissa was incredible to work with. From the very beginning, I felt confident trusting her with such an important piece. I originally bought my dress in Texas and then moved to Connecticut, so I had no idea where to go—but after reading so many glowing reviews, I knew I was in the right hands. After my friend raved about Melissa and her team I knew I had to inquire with them for my wedding and I am so incredibly happy that I did. Melissa and her team are nothing short of amazing. I purchased a strapless dress knowing that I was going to add straps but no idea how it would look. From the first fitting Melissa made me feel so comfortable and confident. I could finally envision my dream dress and they made that happen. I would recommend the deMelis Atelier team over and over again.

The way I found my dress was unconventional- I bought it secondhand off of someone across the country and hoped it fit! I knew I had come across the right person after I saw Melissa’s posts about secondhand and slow fashion. It’s not always possible to ensure that the vendors you choose for your wedding offer excellent services while also matching your values, but with Melissa, I knew I couldn’t find anyone better.
