The wait for the barber can be long so I cant give it a full 5 stars one barber is there mostly so it goes slowly but other than that they give good haircuts so stop by if you need a cut.

I went to Melanin 5/26 for my first silk press blow out and a much needed trim. I was very impressed with my hair when Nissa finished it. She understood that I was worried about heat damage and she assured me I wouldn't get any. Today finally washed my hair and no heat damage. Shout out to sis for that!! I would encourage naturalistas to try her out. Thank you again I will be coming back. And loved the owner as well she explained the products in the store and teaches black girls to care for their hair. �

I went to Melanin to get my daughter a silk press and it was a pleasant experience, the owner was knowledgeable about her products and the stylist( Hanissa) took her time with my daughters hair and it came out so beautiful. They made me happy that I chose to keep my daughters hair natural and I say this because I now have a local black owned business that can relate to my daughters hair texture as well as regiment. The store itself was cozy very warm feeling. I would no I am going to bring my daughter back again!
