The founding families of Hartford rest here, including members of the Wyllys family—namesake of the Daughters of the American Revolution Ruth Wyllys Chapter. Walking among these old stones, you can almost feel the spirit of Connecticut’s earliest settlers and the generations who built our state. Each marker tells a story of courage, faith, and endurance. The cemetery is especially beautiful in the fall, when golden leaves blanket the ground and sunlight filters softly through the trees. A peaceful reminder of Hartford’s deep roots and enduring history.

Kind of in disarray. Broken markers, lots of garbage. Homeless people must be spending the night here, using hidden spaces for "bathrooms". Sad to see a "memorial site" disrespected like this

We loved it, but were unable to walk through all of it. Be safe if you go.We stumbled upon two people who were obviously high / messed up. One left a surenge lying on the ground, and the other literally ran out into traffic clearly messed up awaiting a Darwin Award.Beautiful area just be mindful.
