“Where can I even begin?! Susan is a literal genius. I went to LUXE for my first time today after a Facebook recommendation at her new location in Somers. It’s such a cute spot. You’re 1:1 with Susan who is incredibly personable and there’s never an awkward silence. She educates you about your skin and makes you part of the choices. She sells all the products she uses so that if you really love something, you have the opportunity to bring it home with you!For 35$ I had my brows waxed, and shaped. They were ratchet and long overdue. She taught me how to fill them in with the perfect eye pencil. This all included a hand treatment which was lovely. With the little extra time she had she applied her matte mineral powder to my face which literally took away all my redness and applied mascara and eyeliner for me! I felt SO beautiful when I left there and I was SO happy that I was able to purchase that matte powder to take home.I will never go anywhere else ever again for my brows. A facial is wonderful but having an esthetician see your face regularly and discuss products that are working or not working is huge. “I want to be sure I am fair on this one. I went to Arlena on recommendation after seeing a gorgeous acrylic set she did on a friend. She did a beautiful pedi for me and more sets of acrylics for my daughter and friend. I had her do a beautiful design mani on my natural nails for my wedding but the polish starting peeling off completely within 8 hours. I was unhappy with her initial reply which was simply that she "could not guarantee how long polish lasts on natural nails." I had to request a refund twice which I believe should have been immediately offered. Arlena did refund me against normal policy and did apologize for the situation she left me in just hours before my wedding. As upset as I was with the situation, and will not personally return to the salon, I do have to say that her art skills and acrylics are fantastic.“
