About Connecticut Hospice
Connecticut Hospice, established in 1974 as America's first hospice, offers a range of care options for patients and families facing end-of-life. They are the only hospice in Connecticut with a dedicated inpatient hospital located in Branford. The hospice provides extensive pain and symptom management, along with physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support. Their team consists of board-certified physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers who create customized care plans to meet individual needs. Patients can access care at home, in the inpatient hospital, or a combination of both. The facility is praised for its well-decorated entrance and hallway, with a beautiful setting on the shore. Families appreciate the compassionate and professional staff, who treat everyone with dignity and provide excellent bedside manner during challenging times. The hospice's bereavement programs are also highly regarded, and the staff is known for being caring, accommodating, and attentive to families' needs. Many families have had positive experiences, noting that loved ones are in wonderful, loving hands. The physical location next to the ocean offers a peaceful environment, and families often feel confident in the high-quality, compassionate care provided. The hospice is celebrated for its environment and staff, making it a first-class choice for hospice care.
Heartfelt thanks to Alicia, Kirby, Joan and the entire team at CT Hospice for the amazing palliative care they are administering outpatient to my Mom (nearly age 102) at Maplewood. The end result is a joint best of both assisted living plus palliative/hospice for Mom. What a blessing to Mom and our family.

My mother and I felt deeply supported and respected, my father’s pain was managed carefully, and the beautiful room and surroundings overlooking the water gave us all a sense of...read full review
