It was the easiest and best experience I have had doing any remodeling. I appreciated the clear communication and responsiveness with Michael, he always answered my texts and calls right away. My experience with a kitchen renovation performed by a large box store had many issues with delivery, lack of communication and scheduling. Bolton Home Remodelers took my 1953 bathroom to a spa like bathroom that is better than I could have imagined. I wish I used them for my kitchen and will call them first for any future projects.“

“I wish more companies acted with the integrity and professionalism that I experienced with Knight. I needed an excavator for a detached garage, so I asked for bids from 4 companies. Merritt Knight not only gave me the best price, but he was the only one who took the time to take measurements of the site, ask me a bunch of questions and give me advice. Then he and his sons went beyond their promised services by doing a number of things to ensure that the project was a success - like coordinating tasks with the foundation company, putting straw and then tarps over the site to protect it from frost, sweeping the area clean, etc.

“Just completed installing new gutters and exterior door. Existing gutters were sixty years old so required additional work. A carpenter was needed to replace the fascia boards and to install the door. Gutters done by another team. All work was expertly done. Steve Forand kept me informed of all aspects of the work.“

“I initially called Mike the owner at the end of 2024 and he explained why, at my levels of 1.6 pCi/L, it wasn’t really necessary or cost effective to remediate. He immediately built trust and didn’t hard sell.

Fast forward after basement remodeling and my numbers were at 2.3 pCi/L and rising, often with spikes approaching 10. I gave Mike another call and he asked for photos and videos of the space. Within a day he explained how he’d approach the split basement/crawlspace of my home with two suction points and sent me an estimate. Two weeks later I called him up to get added to his schedule.

Mike and his son were professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. I was able to talk with him about placement and fan types. He even showed me the soil he pulled from under my slab when performing his tests. My home ended up needing a higher suction fan.

Throughout the process Mike was patient and accommodating. He answered all of my questions and made reasonable efforts to reduce noise when I called the day after to raise concerns. Mike came back to my home with an alternate fan and let me hear the difference inside and outside, swapping the fan multiple times.

After 48 hours my radon levels are averaging around 0.2 pCi/L. I can barely hear the fan in the small corner of my kitchen and I hear no other noise in the rest of the house, not even the finished basement.

“JRB home improvements save the day for me and my husband. Our home had been flooded severely in our basement rec room and laundry area. He worked tirelessly and helped coordinate our insurance coverage for the rebuild. Him and Brian made sure that everything was restored actually better than before. There were flood cuts over the entire basement area two and a half feet up the drywall and you can't tell there was ever a cut in any of the walls. He made a couple of recommendations that help to actually improve the space and made the most out of the insurance dollars that were available to us and worked within our budget. We were extremely happy. He made sure that we were completely satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend this company for any home improvements or remodeling.“
