“I needed a tooth pulled. An oral surgeon was going cost $270 for an evaluation and then the actual fee to pull the tooth. They wouldn't give me an estimate. I went to Dr. Ruff and he looked at the X-rays from my dentist checkup and scheduled me for the extraction within 2 weeks. The tooth was extracted in about 30 minutes and all went perfect. I saved over $1000 for the same or better service of a Oral surgeon. Thank You Dr Ruff!! No nonsense straight forward service!! We don't need no stinking expensive Oral Surgeon!!“

“I've been seeing Dr. Kollar for over a year now I believe, and it will be very hard to replace this team if I ever move.

First of all, I have significant trauma with my dental history, after chipping my tooth in half and it taking about a decade to fully finish fixing, and every appointment related to that was pure pain. I also struggle with oral hygiene because of depression, and will not accept a dentist who doesn't understand the nature of the relation between mental health and personal care.

For this as well as other personal reasons, I was adamant about finding a dentist who is emotionally intelligent, and I found that with Dr. Kollar. She and her team treat me with such compassion every time I come in, including the times I'm already a mess for my own reasons before they even have me open my mouth lol.

Second of all, the empathy they've shown me lately is unbelievable. Back in December I no-call-no-showed an appointment because I was depressed and overwhelmed and I panicked. I never reached out to explain myself and the longer time went on the more anxious I became about addressing it. I finally had my roommate take me over this past Tuesday, and when I tell you the receptionist started crying as soon as she realized it was me, I'm not joking. She said they had all been so worried about me. They didn't even charge me a fee because they know that was far outside of my norm, which was just so considerate of them.

I got a little focused on emotions but also third of all, Dr. Kollar is a skilled dentist and I trust her to help me navigate the difficulties I face with my oral care.

“I was referred to Dr. Nielson in 2020 by an emergency room dentist who cleaned up a life-threatening abscess infection in my mouth caused by substandard dental care at a dental chain with the initials C.D. (As a new immigrant, I was unaware this chain of dentistry has a terrible reputation.) My infection was so severe I was rushed to the hospital after my face became so swollen I looked like the elephant woman and I developed a very high fever. At the time I was rushed to the hospital, I had no idea this was even dental related. Upon discharge from the hospital, we immediately drove to Dr. Nielsen's office. When I walked through the door looking like the elephant woman, Dr. Nielsen immediately took time to see me. He invests in the newest state-of-the art technology and took 3D images to show the severity of the infection, refer me to a reputable endodontist and create a plan to get me back to good dental health. I was blown away by his compassion when he refused to accept payment for the 3D images he took of my mouth. Dr. Nielson has a compassionate heart and genuinely cares. I have since moved my entire family over to Northern Smiles Dentistry and will remain loyal to Dr. Nielson for as long as he is practicing dentistry. What makes his practice outstanding is the technology he invests in to offer services/produces in house. He even manufactures mouth guards in house, so the wait time is shorter than dentists who outsource that manufacturing service. I cannot recommend this dentist any higher. AAAAA+++++“
