Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy

I graduated from Berkana Institute of Massage therapy almost a month ago in the spring 2026 program and I can say with 100% percent certainty I have never once regretted it. Throughout my 6th month program I have felt complete support, satisfaction and persistence no matter how hard the curriculum got being an intensive course. Although because of all of the hard work put into the curriculum I felt and feel more than prepared for the LMT career field and significantly prepared for the MBlex. Including but not limited to working in clinic for clients, being extensively taught on the licensing process for Massage therapists as well as being tested on all of the question topics that could be on the MBlex so that after we graduate we will pass it. Every one of the faculty and teachers were more than sufficiently educated in their subject very kind, comprehensive and great to ask questions if you have many like myself.

When I was in my search for a school in body work 6-8 months ago I never for a chance looked at any other massage therapy school with any desire like I did for Berkana, this school’s quality, care and depth in every subject we have learned didn’t compare to the research I did in any other schools in the state. If you are looking into this school and questioning if you want to go I recommend this school to anyone who comes into my life that is interested in massage therapy.

After I graduated from my High school I jumped to the next opening that this school had , I will not deny how hard this school is or the blood sweat and tears it took throughout the curriculum however I know if you put your mind to it you can do it too with dedication and grit. I feel like a completely different person for all the right reasons after graduation, I have been so happy and excited for my future in the career of being an LMT all due to Berkana. I am so grateful for the opportunity and support I have received during my time before during and after this school. I love this community and I hope you will too if you decide to Join.

-not to mention how beautifully the school is decorated its so cozy and really felt like a home away from home for my time spent Berkana.

I am forever grateful for the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy. At 49 I left the military, relocated to Colorado and embarked on the most life giving, transformative educational experience ever!

This is truly one of a kind massage school. It's was absolutely worth the time and effort to be apart of something amazing, something different than any other school. Jill Berkana created a wonderful space to grow and learn. To become a new version of yourself. I thank Berkana for giving me the opportunity to see myself in a new light. Watching my touch grow to something unique and specialized. If you go to this school, you won't be like any average massage therapist. They prepare you for everything scenario and make sure you're able to go out into the massage world as a well rounded LMT. Having my first job, I was told I massage better than most people who have done it for years! I'm constantly recommend and get many requests to be seen because of my holistic touch. The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy is a truly exceptional program. It was challenging in all the best ways, pushing me to grow both personally and professionally. The instructors are knowledgeable, highly skilled, and deeply committed to their students’ success. The program itself is well-organized and it is clear to me that a great deal of intention goes into every aspect of the school. I appreciated the significant number of hours spent learning tons of hands-on bodywork techniques. The school also goes above and beyond in education of the table to prepare students with classes in ethics, psychology of touch, communication skills, and so much more! The business development course has also been incredibly helpful as I start my own practice right out of school—I truly don’t think I would be able to do it this soon without all the preparation that class provided.

I would absolutely recommend Berkana to anyone seriously looking to pursue a career in massage therapy. It provides the perfect balance of rigorous training and supportive guidance, setting students up for success in the field.

Cannot recommend enough. For the future therapist who is holistic minded, has a passion for the welfare of others, wants to learn from those who are knowledgeable and dedicated to staying informed of emerging research/techniques, would like a community to grow with and be supported by, and is looking for a program that is strong in anatomy, pathology and treatment oriented influence.

I began my practice immediately after graduation and have been blessed to have the education I received at Berkana. They are wonderful at helping you identify your strengths and passions, and then encouraging and supporting the cultivation of how that will look in your practice.

The curriculum at Berkana is nothing short of comprehensive. Strong massage foundation and deep dive into human anatomy!

I graduated in June,2023 and started working as a massage therapist almost immediately.

If you are looking for a strong massage base with a great open-minded blend of Eastern science and Western wisdom - Berkana Institute is the right place for you.
I committed all my time to studying and have seen everything what was promised come true: appreciation of clients, colleagues, great money, great opportunities.

I’ve been working less than a year now, found a job straight away and my colleagues immediately treated me with respect and were curious about techniques and amazed with my anatomy knowledge (I never studied anatomy as deep as in Berkana Institute..that was one of my highlights there. And Cadaver lab! Every bodyworker MUST HAVE this experience in life!!!). I showed up in a massage scene as a strong practitioner: immediately started receving great reviews and great tips from the clients. They just love the technique, it is different.

The institute also is teaching the highest standards of ethics of the massage world, which is important - my practice showed that even a “100-year-experienced” massage therapist can often lack the understanding of basics which we are taught naturally at the Institute.

Whether you want to focus on relaxation massage or willing to dedicate your life to post traumatic recoveries - the foundation you get in Berkana is enough to get you the strongest start possible. I know we all are different, but if you are ready to study and apply the knowledge you get in Berkana Institute - you’ll successfully be set up in the world of bodywork. That’s for sure!

I went to The Berkana Institute in 2015...WOW how time flies. I am so glad I chose this school. I live in TN now, and when I tell industry leaders where I went to school they are always impressed. It's crazy to me that people all the way in the SE KNOW about my school! There is a national recognition of the quality of teaching and expertise found in this school. I highly recommend going to Berkana. I chose the school because I wanted an accelerated program; I didn't want to spend 2 years studying to get my certification. I graduated in six months, and opened my practice two months later. I have never looked back! I am successful, independent, confident, and get asked to mentor on a regular basis because of how well I am doing as an independent therapist. The Berkana Institute, the instruction I got there, the mentors I have from my time there and the encouragement I got to open my own business are DIRECTLY responsible for that success. If you want to have a CAREER in this industry and not just be cog in a machine...Berkana is the right choice. 10/10 would choose again. LOL. But for real...DO IT> You won't regret it.

The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy has tremendously changed my life for the better. I am so grateful that I chose this specific school back when I was deciding where to go. I feel that I received the best education possible, and I have started my own successful business not long after I left Berkana all because I was taught how. Definitely make Berkana a top option if you are thinking of becoming a massage therapist. I would also like to mention that even though I graduated from here years ago, I still think about my experience often.. and it holds a very special place in my heart. All of the people I met and the experiences that I had here, helped make me who I am today!

I loved attending Berkana. After practicing massage therapy for close to 4 1/2 years, I am beginning to understand how amazing and thorough my education here was. Berkana graduates are of a different caliber, and it is an honor and privilege to say I am a Berkana graduate!!
