I am SO appreciative of Karen’s knowledge, skill and professionalism. So many stylists don’t really understand how to cut naturally curly hair to truly highlight the curls. Karen takes the time to truly see which way the curls go and cuts them to accordingly. I am most grateful to have found her.
I've been going to Avalon literally for decades. Maybe a couple years ago, there was a change in ownership. At first I was concerned. But if anything, Avalon's excellent service and talented staff of stylists has only gotten better. Since Avalon is an Aveda salon, they use great products. Perhaps a touch overpriced, but I figure they're worth the splurge ... at least at their current prices (don't get any ideas, Aveda). For me, Avalon easily wins five stars.
