“If I could give Katie 10 out of 5 stars, I would! Most recently, I decided to take the plunge and go for a pixie cut! If you’ve ever done this, you know how terrifying it can be because in going that short, if something goes wrong, you’re pretty much SOL. Hope you look good in hats! But as with every other experience I’ve had with Katie, I walked out looking and feeling absolutely AMAZING! I took in some reference photos and told her my goals for the cut which were pretty much something easy to style that I can look and feel pretty without spending a ton of time. Katie didn’t just deliver, she knocked it out of the park! She used my references as a starting point, but then tailored the cut to beautifully match my face and head shape while also combating the multitude of LARGE cowlicks I have. She then showed me the products and techniques to style it in literal minutes, but look like I put waaaaayyy more effort into it than that. Even my husband who is NOT a fan of short hair was giving me “the look” when I got home! The cut is so on point, if I’m in a big hurry, I can just spritz with some water, comb it and let it air-dry and it looks great, no products needed. I will be going back soon to go even short because I can trust that Katie is going to leave me feeling fabulous every time.
This wasn’t my first time going to Katie. The first time I booked was the day after I had gotten a horrendous haircut from someone else. That haircut was the first time in over 6 or 7 years that I had gotten my hair cut by a professional and I was incredibly disappointed. Went to Katie and showed her what I had asked for. Before cutting, she spent a good amount of time looking at my hair; looking at the layers that were in there, at the texture, at how my hair naturally liked to lay, etc. She fully explained to me what she thought would be best to get the closest we could to the reference photos while also making sure the cut fit my individual features and hair structure. And she executed it flawlessly!!! She somehow managed to make my extremely fine, thin and flat hair look voluminous and full. And again, showed me an easy and quick way to style.
I also went to Katie for color. As an at-home box dye enthusiast, I hadn’t had my hair professionally colored in close to 2 decades. I had gone DARK and then tried to work my way back to blonde with my goal being to get as close to my natural dark/ash blonde as possible to let it grow out without looking completely ridiculous. Needless to say, I had left myself with a bit of a yellow/orange mess. Katie to the rescue! She gave me a beautiful mixture of highlights and low-lights that matched up so well, even with currently about an inch of root growth, you can hardly differentiate between natural and colored. An even more importantly, she handled my hair with the utmost care minimizing further damage (I had done a number!) while also teaching me what to do to help get my hair healthy again.
Needless to say, I am now a spoiled diva and will NOT be trusting anyone with my hair except Katie! 1,000,000% recommend for all of your hair needs!”
