My son was in desperate need of a coat as the winter had come in faster then I could get one from other resources.. Im a single mom and on a very limited income at this time. Some of the medical practitioners pulled together to get a gift card. They helped us get a brand new coat for my little man. That was such an amazing gift ! now my son is warm and ready for the cold colorado weather !

Regarding Dr. DANIEL SHAEFER. Came to Family Medicine on Pennock looking for a PCP because I had a life threatening occurence and needed to build my care team. I ended up with Dr. Daniel Schaefer, at first it was ok, he took a look at my case and we did a get to know you first appointment, i told him about my life and he ordered me an HIV and STI tests...ok I guess my living in group homes as a kid made me high risk,but really you think I'd have lived 30 years with HIV without treatment? I felt judged. But I blew it off and its always best to have current bloodwork including STIs. No biggie and I chalked up my sensitivity to having gone through a serious health scare. As I got to know my own case I joined support groups with people with this same rare disease, and started seeing correlation with another rare disease that I shared symptoms with. I came to Dr.Schaefer with my concerns and source info, NIH. I watched him go on a rant about how its not necessary and said things that made no sense to the disease and I realized he didn't know what he was talking about, after sitting silently watching him go on a campaign to change my mind, he finally turned to his computer and did an initial exam for this disease...but his mind was already made up and said he didn't hear anything. But ofcourse at this point I no longer trusted him. I felt unheard and defeated and left with his voice ringing in my ear of him saying (verbatim) "I do not want to go on this journey with you." Wow I wonder how many times he's used that line and worry how many times he will use it in his career. Fast forward, I asked my specialist if he could order the images needed and he said "yes ofcourse." Turns out I do have this correlated rare disease and they saw another potentially deadly disease near my spine and now I'm prepping spine surgery. DR. SHAEFER needs closer supervision and ego check. Thanks for the "prescription" of over the counter pain med but I don't think it'll do the trick. Your'e off the hook Daniel this journey is not for the faint of heart. ?

Been a patient here since 1989. When I moved to Loveland I went somewhere else out of convenience. That was a mistake. Came right back to FMC. Excellent staff. Love my Dr. Thank you.

Being trans you do get used to abuse that most people just never have to deal with. So even tho I trust the medical community in general I was particularly apprehensive regarding my appointment to ask for feminizing HRT.
I was very pleasantly surprised however and felt supported by my primary physician all the way.

Usually they are ok. But today was different. All was good when I went there. Waited for the test results. When they came in I waited and called then because I'm allergic to certain meds and did let them know the only one I can handle. And guess what they prescribed me an antibiotics I'm highly allergic to. This is not ok !!! And I can't get it fixed till whenever they feel like it since they are closed. This is so not ok. I'm so done with uchealth. So

If you need a great Dr. use the purple team! Every one of them are great! I can't recommend a single Dr because they are all great! They make you feel comfortable, remember who you are, and go out of their way to make you feel like a friend, not a patient!

I am still not happy..I have a correction it wasn't Children's Hospital that made the suggestions but a different specialist. Still the facts remain. Get the tests before the appointment so we don't have to make yet another appointment and can discuss everything at one time. A waste of my time and money!
