UCHealth Primary Care - Steele Street

UCHealth Steele Street is the office of my healthcare provider, Julia Kavanagh. I have been a patient for several years. I have always loved the care I receive from Dr Kavanagh. Last week I got COVID. After a home test that was positive, I called the office and found she was unavailable that day. I was seen by Kaitlyn Wadman, PAC via televisit. The experience was great. The “exam” was thorough and the treatment successful. I am very pleased with the care from this provider!!

I am a medical problem child and have a multitude of chronic illnesses at a young age (most of which I was diagnosed with through UC Health) and because of this I’ve never been taken seriously in the healthcare system. Dr. Harrison is deferent though. He has validated and vindicated me. He never fails to take me and my care seriously and has also connected me to so many other specialists. He also works with other doctors to ensure I’m getting the best care possible even when I’m waiting months to get into high demand specialists. This may be a small thing but he also wears LGBTQ ally pins and they always make me feel happy. Harrison is a breath of fresh air in medicine!

I highly recommend Dr. Wilks, he cares more about my health than anything else, but he's so beloved by his patients that he's rarely accepting new patients. If you can get an appointment at a time when he is accepting new patients, you'll have a doctor for life (or until his retirement). I went to another doctor because of health insurance for one year and I still regret it. I cannot compare the quality of care I receive from Dr. Wilks to doctors who make my life worse.
