Into the Layer Salon is a welcoming and comfortable business designed to make customers feel relaxed and good about themselves. The salon is filled with beautiful natural light and has a casual yet curated home-like atmosphere. They are an artist collective, with stylists Lasha, Garrett, and Alison. Garrett, who has a PhD in blondes, is known for providing the best balayage in the city and being meticulous with cuts. He is described as the most intentional stylist and friendly, spending time to understand what customers want. Alison, who has been a stylist for 2 years, is known for her thorough consultations, making customers feel beautiful, and doing a perfect job every time. She even did one customer's wedding hair. The salon also offers hair hydration treatments. Customers cannot recommend the salon and its stylists enough, frequently expressing their love for the business.
Absolutely amazing experience here with Allison, I am super picky with who touches my hair as my hair is my special pride and joy and not only is she beyond friendly and amazing but Allison is so smart and super knowledgeable on hair! She makes sure to give you your dream hair while making sure it’s done in a healthy safe way. Absolutely loved this and would recommend to everyone i know (which i will be doing)
I was in a tough 2+ year cycle of bad haircuts while trying to find a new stylist. I found Lasha after another cut that didn't work for my hair. She listened with so much patience and compassion, and knew exactly what to do to fix my cut so that it was 1) exactly what I wanted and 2) worked WITH the natural texture and style of my hair (fine strands, thick wavy hair) to really bring out the natural waves and curls. I was starting to feel pretty hopeless, and then came Lasha. She totally saved the day with her grounded energy and precise technique, and now I can finally look in the mirror and feel like myself again. I love love love my cut and can't wait to go back!!
2.5 hrs with Lasha is great for my hair and my soul. I have fine, thin hair that I struggle to style and it has never been happier and healthier! This space and the people working in it is such a special treat and the friendly neighborhood vibe is so sweet. I always look forward to next time!
