Total lack of communication. When I have information they kept asking the same thing, like they didn’t pay attention. A hearing was cancelled and I wasn’t informed. A paralegal told me she swore I was on the call and was informed. The only communication I had on this issue was from 8/8 to tell me the hearing was scheduled on 9/30. That was after two other hearings were cancelled. At least they told me about those. When I was expressing how frustrated I was about this I was called names, insulted, threatened, and hung up on. When my attorney finally called me, she said they dropped the ball, but then stated blaming me for the lack of communication, even though I responded to every email, text message, and call. Now I’m having to start all over again with a new attorney because they refused to own their mistakes. I had filed a complaint with the Colorado bar association in hopes no one ever has to deal with this again. I found out Wilhite didn’t communicate insider gain to opposing counsel. They were in the dark as much as me and it was just due to Wilhite being inept. My new attorney was able to do more in 10 days than Wilhite did in 6 months. Try another firm as this one doesn’t care about the clients.
Have to add an edit to this as the saga continues. After I hired my new attorney, we were able to reach a settlement within 10 days, as I previously stated. However, in discussions with opposing counsel, it was revealed that wilhite failed to give all the information over to opposing council, which means they were arguing based on an incomplete data set. Giving them all this proper information, shifted their position in my favor, something that Wilhite actively chose not to do. The insurance company I was dealing with in regard to this case was incredibly inept and continued to demonstrate this when they sent my settlement check to Katie Roberts at Wilhite as opposed to my new council. Katie called me to inform me of this, but the way she started. The call was incredibly out of touch. After I answered the phone she started with, “I know you fired us, I know you have new council, and we won’t be taking any attorney fees, and I do realize you have some emotional baggage tied to this“. What kind of way is that to start a phone call. She’s laying her in aptitude on me and choking it up to nothing but emotion as opposed to her incompetence. Also note she acknowledge my new council. Then she went in to tell me that the insurance company sent the settlement check to her and then she wanted me to drive 85 miles one way, paid to park, and go pick up my check… Which would be OK except she wanted me to do it on her time and not mine. When I suggested the common sense solution of sending at FedEx or UPS directly to me or my council, she was flabbergasted as if this was some sort of impossible feet. Then when I told her to just simply call the insurance company, have them stop payment on this check that they made out to the incorrect Party and issue a check to the proper party sent to the proper council, she again was flabbergasted at the mere thought that this could be an option. So I simply told her to send the check to my attorney overnight. Somehow she translated this in her tiny little mind as I’m driving up there Tuesday to meet her at her office. I did contact my council immediately to inform him of the new development and he then took care of it. He forwarded me an email that Katie Robert sent to him where she lied in the email stating she was unaware. I had new council.
This is one of the worst law firms that I ever have experienced in my 34 years of using attorneys. I wish Google would allow negative stars because this is a -5 minimum. All managing partners of this firm need to be disbarred.

they advertise they do sports gambling addiction cases all over their site. called in and gave info over intake and within 5 minutes receive a message saying they don't take these type of cases. bait and switch.
