“I took my dog to RiNo vet in Denver because he was throwing up and not eating for days. After paying almost $1,000, the vet first suggested it was just gas, even asking me if he’d eaten a corn cob—an odd question since he hadn’t. The staff seemed unsure, and the doctor just left me with meds and a follow-up suggestion for even more expensive tests. Luckily, I got a second opinion—right away, a different vet identified a real issue in his stomach which was SURGERY he had a foreign object in his small intestine needed surgery right away. Frustrating because I asked the doctor to see the Xray and he believed 100% it was gas. I’m really disappointed by how this was handled and would not recommend them.”

I came here due to my kitty ingesting toxic flower material and was immediately met with urgency, kindness, and prioritization. I really appreciated the energy experienced by the entire staff and outside of my own experience, you can tell this is a strong aligned team that enjoys the work they do to help. They treated my kitty so well and I felt like they were truly putting his well-being of high priority. The main veterinarian, I believe his name is Ryan, was very helpful in explaining the process throughly as well as attempting to ease my anguish and worry as best as possible. Everyone else was very kind to us and my kitty. I'm very thankful for my experience here as well as being able to come back the following day to ensure his safety 24 hours after exposure. Thank you so much to this team. I hope to never have to return here but I know that I can if needed and will recommend this clinic to others. Thank you from our family (& Cartman) <3

Absolutely not. I would not recommend this place if you are worried about your pet and expecting any kind of expedient care or communication. My dog needing to have vomiting induced, at two other ER vets they make sure this happens immediately upon arrival. At RINO the front desk woman did not seem to care at all, she walked away from me, did not give us next steps, said the room wasn’t clean and had no anticipated wait time or information for us. I felt like I was deeply annoying her when I asked what I should do with my paperwork. It was awful especially in a time of stress. Not to mention the waiting room wasn’t clean filthy! Hair everywhere, something wet on the scale! Gross! We left and got excellent care elsewhere! Exercise extreme caution if you are planning on bringing your pet here.

My wife and I had an emergency with our kitten in the middle of the night and the staff and vet doctor were so kind and supportive and reassuring and really helped us feel that he was going to be okay, couldn't recommend this place enough!

I’ve taken both my dogs to this clinic in emergency situations and the staff is so kind to us. I have really bad anxiety and thought my dogs were gonna die both times and they were so knowledgeable and helped calm my nerves. Lastnight I took my dog in bc she was pooping blood and the vet saw that I was wearing a griz jacket and told me to listen to chasing the golden hour and gave me really good after care for her 😭😭 emergency situations suck but having a kind vet and tech helps so much !!!!

Not only did the team support my mom and my dog while I was stuck in Mexico for 72 hours longer than I had planned to due to unforseen circumstances. They also have been extremely supportive of me since I landed back home. Unfortunately after my pups first admittance to the hospital and discharge he did have to see them again a second time come home with me and then go back shortly thereafter to be admitted. And like I said not only has the team showed up and done everything that they can for my dog. But they have done everything they can to support me in this moment as well. I can't say enough about how caring the team at this hospital is. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful staff, brought us in immediately to assess our senior asthmatic cat. They took the time to notate a detailed account of the situation and symptoms, and outlined their suggested treatment and follow up plan, including advice for helping our little guy learn to use the cat inhaler. Patient and positive energy from the team really helped ease our nerves, very grateful for their help!

I only feel it’s best to write a review to bring attention what happened to our dog after visiting this location, and to warn people to not go here if in a serious situation. We took our dog here after calling our vet and giving symptoms our dog was suffering through. Rino vet did an examination and blood work and said he was fine and sent him on his way…after 2 days our dog the had another episode where we knew something was really wrong. We ended up rushing to another hospital due to the severity. There we found out our dog has two masses in his spleen, one of which erupted , if we would have listened to rino vet and not our gut our dog would have lost his life. It’s a shame they charged $500 for bloodwork and sent us on our way and super disappointing if they would have caught this in time, we wouldn’t have had to rush to emergency surgery where our dog again almost didn’t make it. We’re blessed in the end we found the right care but please take this as your sign not to go here when in an emergency situation.

We came here around 9pm on a weeknight a few days after our dog swallowed some toys. There was no wait time- after filling out paperwork in an exam room, our pup saw a vet within 5 minutes. They eased our worries and let us know that we did not need an x-ray instead of just taking our money! This was the only emergency vet recommended by our primary vet care. Highly recommended them for issues big or small. Better safe than sorry!
