Recovery Center - WellPower is a life-changing organization that has helped individuals overcome struggles in their lives. The staff is committed to providing services to the community, prioritizing health and safety, and adapting to new circumstances. Clients praise the center's therapists, such as Rachel, who offer genuine support and guidance. One client, who had been isolated for a year due to PTSD and addiction, now thrives after seeking help at WellPower. Despite imperfections, the center's team is dedicated to helping others, and clients appreciate the opportunity to find the right counselor for their needs.
The level of professionalism concerning the therapist is BS...addiction therapists trying to give complex trauma advice that isn't helpful. If your certifications are not trauma informed, leave the trauma therapy to someone who is a licensed, trauma informed therapist. Also, keep your appointments with your patients...just some suggestions that will help you as a "professional".
I have been a consumer at Wellpower, formerly The Mental Health Care Center of Denver for almost 15 years.
My concern is that Wellpower is taking on new consumers - more consumers - than they have the capacity to provide proper care for.
I was in an Acute Crisis - and could NOT get access to my own Psychiatrist last week.
I drove to the Recovery Center to request an appointment with my doctor.
The staff who were telling me I couldn't get an urgent appointment with him (which he had requested) just didn't seem to comprehend - or even understand the impact that their "No Appointments Available" - reply was having on my mental health stability in that moment.

It makes me sad to hear such negative things about a place that saved my life. They've always been there for m. I think they are all absolutely wonderful. I've been there a part this place for about 11 years. I love them
