Octavio - owner - I hope that everyone that asks me where I had my hair done ends up coming to you - you'd have to open another salon! I knew he wanted to shave my head instead of give me highlights, because my hair is so thick, but he pushed thru like a champ. And one of the cutest small salons I've ever been in...rustic charm, very cozy. I went on the day of the wet, gross, nasty snow storm we had this year, and met Octavio on the stoop......from then on it was all fun chatter, free trim, 20% off first service, all ending with a sexy mane of highlighted hair.

Great hair salon with skilled, friendly staff. To reiterate their new promotion, OC Salon offers 20% off for new clients as well as a referral program allowing you to earn free hair cuts / whatever else you yelp sickos pay people to do to your head. I have been to 3 other hair stylists in denver which were either overpriced or under qualified (congratulations to Floyd's 99 for excelling at both). This gem is "tucked away" in Capitol Hill, though actually it's right there on Pennsylvania, almost to Colfax. How come I never saw it before? First time customers get a whopping 20% off, and they have a nice referral service that recently went into place: if you refer someone, I believe you get 10% of their total cost given back to you in the form of a gift certificate. You can use it right away, or let them build up. Also I *really* love that you get a free trim with any chemical service. Prices in general are super great to boot. Definitely my kinda place. Sherri did my hair - she is a whizzbanger with color and I'm *super* happy with my cut too. I can already tell it's going to grow out nicely and not annoy me in 2 weeks. It was also nice to come home and not feel the need to shower off all the product and hair bits. Nor was it necessary to scrub dye off my hairline or ears. Phew! The place is small; only 3 or 4 chairs. But beautifully decorated in a nice old Denver brick building. Give it a try! And please tell Sherri that Cindy referred you so I can get my goodies :)
