I was falsely accused and thrown in jail on lies. It was my first time ever dealing with the court system and defending myself for something I never did. But since someone that I never met, pointed me out, I was thrown in jail. I didn't even know that was even possible. There was a warrant for my arrest.. I was trying to fly to another country. And was taken off the plane. The police officers that arrested me treated me straight up like a criminal. There was 6 officers and made fun of me, because I was super stressed out. They made the whole booking process a nightmare. They told me I was being booked for assault (second degree assault which is a felony). I asked "who did I assault? I never touched anyone. You guys have the wrong guy." I was so confused and was honestly was super sad. Jail is a place that I never want to go, not even if it's voluntary. Worse place on earth. Once I got out. I immediately started to interview different lawyers. I interviewed 5 lawyers. I wanted to make sure I picked the best one and I felt comfortable knowing I would get the help I need. I spoke to Richard over the phone and was invited to his office. I explained everything and the thing that will always stick out to me was "you have a right to defend yourself and others." Richard right away was well composed knew what he was talking about and at that moment he reminded me of a super smart individual. Someone that seems quiet at first, but he can pack a punch! My case took a few months. I wanted it to over as soon as it started. But Richard kept telling me it's a process. The other party kept lying in their statements. It felt like a race, the first DA on the case wanted me to be in the system with such lack of evidence and no history of nothing on my record. I had to get statements from witnesses that were there and knew how the whole thing unfolded. There was so many people that night I did not even knew who was who. I was defending my sister and someone completely different was saying I hit him. It was super crazy. Never touched him at all. He was being jumped by random teenagers. It was all chaotic, but Richard reassured me, we had a strong case and he was working hard to get it dismissed. There was a new DA assigned to the case that did a thorough due diligence and reviewed the statements/facts.. And sure enough it was a process and his work was phenomenal! I can never thank him enough. My case was dismissed before going to trial! I'm super happy I picked Richard. My whole life came back. I can breathe with out stress. And move on with my life. Thank you Richard!

Another typical Denver attorney. This man will collect your money , and go back-and-forth just a couple of times over email with the DA until they reach an agreement they agree on! Not you! This attorney was not proactive in fighting for my case at all!! I ended up with years of probation, classes upon classes upon classes GPS monitoring devices, you name it!! And I was never released early like promised!! Richard could care less! Bear in mind I never put my hands on anybody! Ever! This was the most minuscule case ever! My police report was three sentences long! In my opinion, folks find another attorney. Research how they are treating their current cases which is public information and take a look at how many cases they have won at trial! Good luck to you all. I will never be back to Denver again! I literally came here on vacation!!
