I asked for an annual routine eye examination. As I have Cigna medicare advantage PPO insurance, the copay for the annual routine eye examination is $0, so far as the clinic is in-network. I went to this clinic and double checked whether it accepts my insurance coverage and whether refraction service is included in the coverage. The answer from a receptionist was affirmatively yes. However the clinic then billed me $105, claimed that the clinic is not in the network and refraction service is not included in the insurance coverage. I contacted with my insurance provider and was told that the clinic used a wrong code (CPT 92004) to bill insurance company. Since that code is for diagnosis not for annual routine eye examination, it results that the refraction and diagnosis charge were denied by the Cigna. If I knew that the clinic is not in the network, I would never have had my annual eye routine examination done in the clinic, for It does not make any sense. Now the clinic keeps billing me and threatened to refer the bill to the Credit Bureau and Collections Service. My suggestion is never to go to this clinic and the receptionist is not educated good enough to do her job.

Dr's Vicksman and Roe are absolutely the best in eye care. Not only do you get first class treatment from the staff but the doctors spend a lot of time with you. Can't ask for better!

Took my mother for worker’s compensation from a work place injury. The staff was dismissive and uncaring. The Dr wouldn’t even look at her as she would tell him what was going on. I was interpreting for her and was disgusted by the staff behavior.When we left the front desk lady said ‘don’t come back’, so we left in agreement.
