VASA Fitness

VASA Fitness, located in Colorado Springs on Nevada Ave, is a welcoming and inclusive fitness community that offers a wide range of amenities and classes. The location features STUDIO RED, group fitness, personal training, a performance lifting area, basketball court, functional training turf, an indoor pool, and child care. Members appreciate the spacious open layout, cleanliness, and good repair of equipment and facilities. They especially enjoy the variety of classes such as silver sneakers and aqua extreme, which are known for their upbeat music and engaging instructors. However, some members have noted that the gym can get very busy, leading to long waits for popular equipment such as squat racks, leg extension machines, and individual cable stations. To improve the member experience, it is suggested that management consider adding more of these popular stations. Additionally, the locker room has been described as unpleasant, with unpleasant smells, dirt, and poor air flow, while the men's locker room sometimes has an unpleasant smell and lacks proper air circulation. Some members also mentioned that the benches in the free weight area could be more versatile, and the weekend hours are not ideal. The limited number of TVs is another concern, as the big game in the evening is often not on because staff say they aren’t allowed to change the channels. Despite these issues, members feel the value is good, especially at the $10 membership fee, which has been consistent since the gym opened in late 2019. Overall, former members who have returned are excited to be back, and those who have not yet joined are encouraged to give VASA Fitness a try. The gym is known for its supportive community and diverse amenities, making it a good choice for those looking to improve their fitness and enjoy a variety of classes.
