What a great find... I grew up in Wisconsin so this was my first time finding a violin shop in Colorado. I traveled 3 hours to get there so Juan made sure to complete my rehair, restring, and general tune up in one afternoon.

I've been playing since 7 years old and it was clear he knew what he was doing. Very kind and communicative. There was some stuff wrong with my fiddle that I didn't even notice and he corrected it. Fair prices. Great place for purchasing violins and maintenance!

I took my viola to Mr. Mijares because I was struggling with reaching higher positions and dealing with the instrument’s weight. Having played it for over 30 years, even alongside Van Cliburn, I didn’t want to part with it. Mr. Mijares expertly shaved down the neck, making it lighter and easier to play without altering its original look. The result is incredible, and the entire experience was excellent. He even stayed late to accommodate my schedule. Affordable and invaluable work—I highly recommend Mijares Violins!
