Elyse Meaney, LMT, CMLDT, is a highly skilled, versatile, and amazing massage therapist. Her work is described as pure magic, providing incredible pain relief and healing, including for scar tissue post-surgery and orthopedic issues. She possesses unmatched knowledge of anatomy, athletic performance, neuromuscular connectivity, and post-surgical healing. Her deep, therapeutic massages, including hot stone therapy, ease muscle tension and stiffness, leading to sound sleep and a rejuvenated feeling without being beaten up. She is phenomenally strong and applies precise pressure with a high degree of control. Deeply attuned to her clients, she communicates with their tissue to deliver exactly what is needed, be it deep tissue massage or assisted stretching, in a very soothing setting. She gives great advice and home programs to reinforce and maintain gains, helping to alleviate underlying issues. Clients consistently report that her care is both calming and rejuvenating, leaving them with a body that no longer hurts and a sense of being lighter and stronger.
I have had issues with ankle and calf swelling for some time. Using compression socks helped a bit but it was still a problem. My toes were starting to hurt and go numb. I went to see Elyse and she recommended MLD. The treatment is gentle and highly effective. The swelling in my lower extremities was gone and I was able to wear shoes I haven't worn in a while. Feeling in my toes came back and the pain was completely resolved. This is not though, a one and done treatment. I just had my second treatment (6 weeks later) and am looking forward to more relief. Elyse is absolutely fantastic. Due to a medical issue it was suggested I see a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, which is fairly difficult to find in this area. Regular MLD therapists are not trained or certified in my treatment, which made Elyse an even greater find. I’ve been seeing Elyse for a few years and not only has she greatly reduced my symptoms, but she’s also incredibly knowledgeable about my condition and effective MLD management, tailoring each appointment to what is bothering me most at the time. I’m incredibly lucky to have found her and would recommend her to anyone that could benefit from MLD.
I had a wonderful 90-minute hot-stone massage yesterday. I arrived with tight, painful neck muscles and an especially painful shoulder joint. The perfectly heated stones with deep massage felt great and really eased my muscle tension. I slept soundly last night and awakened without my usual level of morning stiffness. I’m always very impressed with the high level of skill and incredible knowledge that Elyse possesses, and the pain relief she provides in her very soothing and therapeutic setting.
