“We had the great pleasure of working with Ben Terry, his crew (Rene and Beto were amazing) and Lora in the front office on a significant project on our house in Summit County. The house was built in 1995 and had an EIFs (synthetic stucco system) on the exterior. Unfortunately the system is susceptible to woodpecker damage. Ben explained the options, pros and cons and made the decision easy. “Brady and his team at Van Matre construction did a fantastic job repairing our foundation and facilitating the many associated projects. Brady was very thorough in explaining the problem and how to fix it. Throughput the process the team was very clear about the project status and what was being done. They were also very forthcoming about any issues that arose, and made sure address them. Chris and Joel (the primary duo who did the foundation work) were always friendly and made an effort to keep the inside of our house clean and free of dents and dings. The project was completed without going over budget and our house looks better than it did before.The primary work being done was foundation repair, but several other improvements were added on. Our foundation wall was leaning in ~2.5" due to expansive clay around the house. The wall was pushed back and reinforced with helical piers and an adjacent wall was reinforced (but did not require helical piers). They added drains along the two walls, a sump pump, replaced the window wells, replaced the windows, and contracted having the concrete patio re-poured (it needed to be destroyed to repair the wall).My wife and I agree that it was a great experience working with Brady, Adam, Chris, and Joel at Van Matre Construction.
