While all of their staff is extremely talented, we have especially appreciated working with Dr. Llewy over the years. Her love for animals, genuine concern for their wellbeing, attention to detail, and informed, thoughtful approach have meant the world to us.

Two of our dogs have had complex medical needs. We lost our 15.5 year old dog last year, who lived 3.5 years longer than expected, and our 15 year old dog’s conditions continue to be well managed under her care.

I give full credit to Dr. Llewy for extending their lives, and I will never be able to thank her enough for giving us more time with our precious girls.“

The care and attention we received from everyone, including Andrea the Practice Manager, who helped explain what was happening as well as Doctor T, who reviewed Mocha’s X-rays and confirmed that we were making the right choice in saying goodbye now, was so appreciated. Thank you for being there for us when we needed you most. We were able to bring our baby home and have a veterinarian hospice put Mocha down in the comfort of her own home thanks to the guidance and care we received at Denver Animal Hospital.“

While every veterinary cardiologist in the Denver area was booked 4-6 weeks out, when I explained the dire situation, Choice Vet Specialists and Dr. Carroll Loyer managed to fit her in. We couldn’t be more impressed and thankful for the excellent care and compassion of both Dr Loyer and his entire staff. After 6 hours in their care, Zoe is so much better. Her treatment protocol is complex and Dr Loyer and his staff both explained everything until we understood and encouraged us to call anytime we have concerns or questions. “My little Yorkie girl suddenly developed a horrible honking cough, like she had something stuck in her throat and she could not cough it up and at times could not catch her breath. Huron Animal Hospital got me in same day and we saw Dr. Seiffert. The tech immediately took her into the back to give her some oxygen to help her breathe better. They asked if they could take an x-ray and I said of course! The vet came back and said that she has a collapsed trachea. That’s why she’s fighting for her breath.. We talked about several options, starting with surgery to managing comfort care in the interim. The vet even called down to the specialty wheat Ridge Hospital to get more information about doing a tracheal stent. I Just appreciate the straight talk and helping to come up with options and solutions. My Yorkie is doing OK with the medications Dr Seiffert sent us home with. Ijust have to keep her calm until I can determine the best surgery solution and where to get it done. It is just very comforting to have a partner with Huron Animal Hospital as I go through some tough And costlydecision-making. When I paid my bill before I left, I was pleasantly surprised as it was Very reasonable. I have a new vet now! Thanks, Huron Animal Hospital and Dr. Seiffert!“

“I brought in my daughter's hamster due to an issue with his ear. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the staff and vet were very compassionate and presented me with a variety of treatment options. Unfortunately, the issue was not something that could be effectively treated and was related to old age. My daughter said she felt much better after having a chance to speak with the vet about her pet. All in all, a great experience.“
