“For years, I had wanted to have professional family photos taken—not just traditional studio pictures, but beautiful, meaningful photographs that you proudly display on your walls and treasure for generations. I started researching photographers online and found Megan Escheman's website. From the moment I reached out, she was absolutely amazing. Our first meeting was in person, and she asked thoughtful questions I honestly wasn't expecting. She wanted to know how I felt about being photographed, what my previous experiences had been like, and what made me or my family members uncomfortable. She even took the time to understand our family dynamic and identify anything that might make the photo session less enjoyable for someone.
Megan supported us through every step of the process, including choosing outfits, selecting locations, and finding the right timeframe for our session. When my husband's work schedule unexpectedly changed, she was incredibly accommodating and helped us reschedule. Throughout the entire experience, her communication was exceptional.
When photo day finally arrived, I was so excited—and Megan exceeded every expectation. She did an incredible job building rapport with everyone, especially my teenage son. She made him feel comfortable and engaged, and because of that, we captured genuine smiles and authentic moments that I will cherish forever. She gave us time to relax and simply be ourselves, which resulted in beautiful candid photographs in addition to the posed shots.
When it came time to review our photos, Megan truly listened to what we loved about each image and helped us create the perfect collection for our generational package. The final result was more than I could have ever hoped for.
From start to finish, this experience was about so much more than creating memories to hang on our walls. It was an experience that our entire family genuinely enjoyed.
