went here for a while and it was honestly amazing. the instructor knows his stuff and really breaks down every move so you actually get it. i dont have a martial arts background and i never felt lost or out of place. the whole vibe is super welcoming, everyone’s there to learn and improve. sparring days were tough but in a good way, you leave feeling like you leveled up. i moved away otherwise i’d still be going three times a week. place is a gem out in Browns Valley for real.

I recently started taking Doce Pares classes at the Filipino Martial Arts Academy of Yuba City. I really enjoy the classes here as they specialize in weapons, specifically stick and knife. The concepts will translate to unarmed combat as well, but Doce Pares will give you the skills needed when weapons get involved. The classes are taught by very friendly instructors in a safe environment and you'll get a pretty good workout. Parking is easy and at this convenient location. Try a couple of lessons, you'll quickly gain some comfort with sticks and knives, a great skill to have, even if you already have other martial arts training.

The best place in Yuba City to learn the indigenous art of Eskrima. The practicality and beauty of the Filipino Martial Arts as taught within the Doce Pares Multi Style system. The instructor is very knowledgeable and skilled in the art. The school is easy to find and has ample parking.
