I took my 3 yo lab to Lion K9 and should have done it way sooner. She was wild. No aggression at all, just full of energy. She would jump on everyone, do playful arm nibbles, and anytime she got in trouble she would take off like it was a game. Not the best listener...

This is the first time that we have used a professional dog trainer for one of our dogs. Our goal was to have a dog well-behaved in public, socialized with people and other dogs that could be off leash with confidence. From our first meeting Rob listened to our needs and asked a lot of questions about our household as well as our dog’s personality. It was clear he is patient but firm and wants both the dogs and their humans to be successful. Our dog has made tremendous progress, and I have learned a lot on how to handle and communicate with him. I love the atmosphere of the training sessions and look forward to each one. We adopted a lab mix puppy in August 2025, and started working with Rob in mid-September. We were very impressed with Rob, and his philosophy at the first meeting and left knowing we would learn a lot from him and his approach. We were not wrong. Rob's training approach is by visual and verbal cues/commands. We have had dogs in the past, yet felt like we were learning how to train a dog for the first time. Rob has simple and effective methods when training any breed of dog. After having a few 1:1 sessions we started going to group sessions with up to 5-6 dogs also training at the same time.
