PT, mild core exercise, thought the consultation was very thorough
The PT therapist walking me thru my routine, was very good at making sure I knew how to do everything right. Must say, watching the kindness and care they take with patients with more limitations than I have..is awesome to see. They inspire me to be as good and mobile as I can be..without my bulging disc being harmed.. I'm usually tired after.
Must say, I've been to PT at a Sports rehab and I did get spoiled by their way of routine, heat & massage after doing my core strengthenung routine.
I dropped in to ask questions yesterday. The young woman at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had therapy at Nifty after Fifty right before Covid and it was great. Unfortunately, due to insurance changes, this year I was sent to PIH outpatient physical therapy and their facility, equipment, and therapist is not nearly as good as Nifty after Fifty. Unfortunately, my 90 year Mother has some real serious issues and has been referred to PIH outpatient physical therapy. That is why I stopped in at Nifty after Fifty with her medical card to ask if there was any chance they accept her insurance (If so, I was going to ask doctor to change referral) I am very concerned about the care she will get at PIH. I know from own experience they are not as good. I called PIH to get appointment and first attempt they asked for her DOB and put me on hold to look it up and cut me off, I called back but long wait time and gave up. Third attempt she scolded me because she thought I said August instead of October and that is why she could not find my Mom's referral. I am so upset that I cannot take her to Nifty after Fifty where she could receive proper therapy. If you get to go there, you are lucky.
What do I like about this gym?
We're all adults over 50, we all join to exercise. Here we find ourselves made welcome and comfortable with our personal issues like me using a walker. Here's a place that you can exercise in a small friendly atmosphere.
Rene and Angelic, at the front desk, give me a warm welcome and send me home with a friendly "goodnight". They are kind, warm hearted and greet me warmly. You'll see manager Jon there once in a while as he makes his rounds through the various locations.
Fernando handles everything in the gym room. He's wonderful. He's the personal trainer on each machine; he makes sure that you know how to use each machine properly....read full review
